Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga Teacher Training
Teacher Trainings will resume in May, please call if interested. These training's include a Certificate and the ability to run your own class with our equipment and support.
2017 Yoga Classes are Saturdays from 9:30-11:00. Classes are June 3rd, 17th. July 1st, 15th, 29th. August 12th, 26th and Sept. 2nd Friday night schedule coming soon. You can also schedule a private group class!
2017 Paddle fit 10:00-11:30: Sundays May 28th. June 11th, 25th. July 9th, 30th. August 20th, and Sept 3rd.
Stand-Up Paddle board Yoga
The ancient practice of yoga is all about being one with nature, and surrounding oneself with the sights, sounds, and smells of the outdoors is the best way to do that. The inherent benefits of Hatha yoga (increased flexibility, muscular strength, endurance, and balance) are also accompanied by the positive emotional effects it can provide. Exercising in natural environments has been studied and proven to increase feelings of revitalization, energy, and positive engagement as well as decrease tension, confusion, anger, and depression.
SUP Yoga adds the element of an upper-body workout from paddling and increased core strengthening from balancing on an unstable surface. Holding a plank position or half moon for any length of time becomes an incredible feat when your yoga mat moves when you do.
Besides being a whole lot of fun, SUP Yoga takes the predictability out of a normal yoga session. All of your senses are stimulated – a chirp of a cricket, the breeze caressing your hair, the scent of wild flowers, a ripple extending outward – Mother Nature never paints the same picture twice!!
Paddle Fit Class- Imagine a mix of Crossfit and stand up paddle boarding. Who wants to be inside when you can be on the water challenging yourself and having fun. This workout is an 1 1/2 hours and includes cardio, strength training and balance, all set to the beautiful background of water and sun. This class is taught by a certified Paddle Fit instructor.
